Latte on table. Good morning!

Before we dive into our brunch blog, we would first like to thank you all for spending some time with us here at the first ever blog post from your community of apartments in Katy. We’ll be writing two blogs per month and posting them here for our residents to enjoy! You can expect to find info on local restaurants, area attractions, apartment decorating tips and more!

Anyway, let’s get back to talking about the best meal of the week; brunch. Katy is filled with awesome brunch restaurants, and we’ve highlighted four of them below. Some of these places are great for a quick bite, while others are better suited for a three hour brunch that takes up most of your morning and leaves you completely full afterwards. Aren’t those the best?

Without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the best brunch spots in town. When you’re done reading this post, please be sure to share it with your friends and neighbors at your apartments in 77450!

Salt and Pepper

Brunch buffet, anyone? Those two words will get anyone up and out of bed on a Sunday morning. Salt & Pepper has a super tasty, super affordably brunch buffet. For just $15, you can enjoy a selection of meats, ceviche, fruit, crepes, and an omelette bar. Plus, that $15 includes a mimosa! You heard it here first, folks — it’s impossible to find a better brunch deal than the brunch buffet at Salt & Pepper.

Tamales Mama Belen

This isn’t so much a brunch restaurant as a small counter in a convenience store. With that being said, this is the perfect place to go if you need a quick bite on a Sunday morning. The tamales are cooked and wrapped perfectly. We love the fresh onions, cilantro and tortillas that set these tamales apart from other tamales you may have had in Katy. Give this place a shot next time you need a quick bite!

Dish Society

If you order nothing else at Dish Society, order their amazing pork belly hash. This is a farm-to-table restaurant that prides itself on freshness and flavor. Another good option is the brisket and eggs. It’s full of flavor without being full of oil and fat.

We also have to give Dish Society props for their coffee selection. We recommend sipping on an iced Americano or any of the lattes. Most brunch restaurants focus on food and forget to make amazing coffee, but Dish Society isn’t most restaurants.

Glaze Doughnuts

Doughnuts are part of a healthy brunch, right? It’s impossible to step inside Glaze Doughnuts without immediately getting excited about the beautiful array of doughnuts in front of you. We’ve heard good things about the Nutella doughnut holes, the butter pecan doughnuts and the lemon cheesecake doughnuts. Really, you can’t go wrong with any of these delicious treats.

If you’re looking for something a little more savory, you’re in luck! Glaze Doughnuts also has a nice selections of kolaches.

Those are all the brunch spots we’ve got for y’all this week! Once again, we’d like to thank you for taking some time out of your busy schedule to read our first blog post.
